So yeah, this trip was pretty perfect. Josh and I landed in San Jose del Cabo, ready for some much needed and much anticipated relaxation. Our wedding was six months ago, but we decided to wait and go somewhere warm for our honeymoon once the weather in Michigan started to get truly frightening. We definitely went at the right time judging from the Snapchats from our freezing friends that we received while we were lounging by the pool. Sorry guys.
Neither of us had ever been to Mexico before, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were blown away. We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort and Spa, and this was our view from our hotel room balcony.
Every morning, there were whales swimming about in the ocean just beyond that pool. It was pretty surreal. The food was amazing, too, especially at La Frida at Pacifica’s sister resort, Sunset Beach. Traditional Mexican and Latin American dishes were served alongside delicious craft cocktails. I can’t forget to mention the spa either. We enjoyed some Swedish massages, hot and cool pools, and a steam room with mint and eucalyptus that my lungs really needed after coming from a week of 20 below wind-chill.
Of course we found the only local craft brewery in Cabo.
A trip to Cabo isn’t complete without a stop at The Arch and the famed Lover’s Beach. The beauty at the tip of the Baja peninsula is unreal. Definitely #nofilter needed.
Goodbye Cabo. You were so fun and beautiful, and we can’t wait to come back!
